Bernadette Kennedy

Bernadette works mostly in oils and pastels.


The tapestry shown is from an original oil painting.


The tapestry was woven in Lesotho.


It was part of Tech Amergin's aid work there.


The people of Lesotho named it “The Sunset”.



Her work featured in “Landscapes Through Different Eyes”an exhibition at the renowned Frank Lewis Gallery in Killarney.



The Gallery describes its changing exhibitions as “...including some of the leading, as well as some of the most important emerging artists in Ireland today...”



On the invitation to this exhibition Frank Lewis wrote:

“Bernadette Kennedy’s impressionistic treatments show a fascination with colour and texture and highlight the flow of the land to an almost sensual treatment. 


This made an immediate impact  when I saw her paintings ”



Bernadette has exhibited at top venues in Cork and Kerry.

Her work has been seen at Siamsa Tire, Tig Fili, Cill Rialaig ...
